ABOUT RAP RADIO
W.R.A.P. RADIO is one of 5 program components of Restore Assemble Produce (aka R.A.P). W.R.A.P RADIO was originally designed to be the online “Information Station” for the specific community of Kent, WA. The station also includes the social media components of YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Podcasting. The multi-media component is designed to utilize each of the other R.A.P. components participants and community to be informed and of community, events and activities and important news. R.A.P. has invested thousands of hours building trust capital in the community and have a strong understanding of the gaps that impact the under-served community and the community at large.

The mission of W.R.A.P. Radio is to develop and operate youth-led, youth-powered online radio station with social media platforms that is community-driven, development-centered, with a functionality to insure a youth voice, community empowerment, and equity in information access .

It is the vision of W.R.A.P. Radio that their authentic online community-centered broadcasting station will go beyond the geographical boundaries of Washington State to be a culturally relevant, system-changing, information entity that allows youth and disenfranchised communities to be heard, find their voice, empowered to make decisions to better their lives.

Our Goal is to utilize Media technology as a tool to gather the youth and provide them with access tools and programs that are tailor-made for each child individually. We believe that when you change a child’s life you change the family in which makes a healthy community and changes the World

Our purpose is to serve those youth most in need and least likely to access youth services. To enable easy access to programs, all programs are free and provide free transportation.

Media Technology Professionals
Wrap Radio invite various Media Experts and professionals who come and mentor our Youth. These Social Media Influencers use social media and established credibility in a specific industry. They also use social media influencer has access to a large audience and can persuade others by virtue of their authenticity and reach.

They learn Influencer marketing which is a form of social media marketing involving endorsements and product placement from influencers, people and organizations who have a purported expert level of knowledge or social influence in their field

Social media are interactive computer-mediated technologies that facilitate the creation or sharing of information, ideas, career interests and other forms of expression via virtual communities and networks. Our Youth are taught how to create portals by professionals.
